Nicole, that darling girl, was making milk for herself and Shawn, when guess what, she made Milo for Evelyn as well! It was a little difficult trying to explain why she didn't have to serve her. <br /> <br />Next, Evelyn was helping me clear out the store room and of course, Nicole and Shawn were there again, carrying the boxes for her. " We must help each other!" the children chorused when I told them to let Evelyn do it. How can I argue with that! <br /> <br />Next, dinner time. " What drink should we get for her?" Have I mentioned that the kids usually get a fruit juice or once in a while, carbonated drink at meal times? Yup, they wanted to get her a drink... Sigh... looks like I need to buy a lot more drinks now! <br /> <br />So is my life better yet? Don't know.. haven't had a homecooked meal since she came as we were busy trying to clear out the maid room's for her. <br /> <br />But it should get better soon... After all, Don is coming this afternoon! So in the next few days, if you happen to be at my place using that toilet, please look up and continue looking up until you are done... if you suspect anything's gonna drop on you, please run ya?</span> <br /> <br />It started out as a simple enough job: hack out all the floor tiles from the toilet upstairs, waterproof the ground and retile the floor. But since my dear husband happens to be home for the weekend, this has expanded beyond its scope. <br /> <br />First, it was the toilet bowl. There was a hairline crack when they removed it while hacking out the tiles... no choice, got to go shopping for the toilet bowl. Next, we didn't quite like the range of tiles provided by the contractor so, shopping again for floor tiles. The only problem was that the tiles we picked cost twice as much! Hmm.. now that the tiles looked much better, shouldn't we replace the shower screen to tempered glass as well? So yes, we are changing the screen.. Oh wait a minute, shouldn't we touch up the wall tiles as well by putting in a decorative border? Yes, of course .. and the contractor will be back tomorrow to hack again! Since the wall tiles will be hacked, we might as well replace the towel rack, shampoo rack, and fit in more RACKS! <br /> <br />Hey, now that mirror looks miserably small.... hmmm... a bigger mirror will look much nicer ya? <br /> <br />When everything's done up, Shawn will be banned from treating the bathroom like his little swimming pool! What does he do in there? What a happy day! <br /> <br />I've gone back to my eat ice-cream-every-day regime. Sigh... what will Don say when he comes home?!? But then again, all that staying away from ice-cream and 25 rounds of jogging in Jan only shaved HALF a kg off my weight! Not worth all that effort at all! <br /> <br />Oh yes, Rachel got her A1 for Chinese. Congrats Rachel! You deserved it! We bought some stuff but nothing that I could brag about loud loud because it was a bargain! Unlike the $10 OP skirt which half the world probably heard about already.. Anyway, the food is still good. I haven't had so much Cantonese food in a week and I think we will both steer clear of dim sum for a long, long time... <br /> <br />This is not the first time we went on a holiday without Nicole &amp; Shawn but it is the first time, surprisingly, that Don didn't call home daily to check that the children were fine. I had to keep bugging him to call home before he finally did so on Sunday... But we know the children are in good hands. <br /> <br />Did I enjoy the trip? Of course! Didn't realise how relaxing it was till I got home to the incessant chatter of Nicole and Shawn! I missed them though..
